River - a 2020 version

Here's something a little different. A while back, I heard Joni Mitchell's "River" as music on two different TV series episodes. Well, like the best of musical earworms, that tune just stayed with me. Pretty soon I was waking up in the middle of the night with a completely new set of lyrics running through my head. I just had to write them down. 

A while later I asked my old college buddy Papa G if he'd like to take my version for a spin. He said sure. Told me not to expect much since he hadn't done much performing since his coffee house days back in college. Still in all, he sent me a video.

Well, I packaged up that video and some photos and photo art I had lying around and sent it off to an Irish video editor I know, Mimi O'Graff. She sent back the video you're about to see. Said it was probably a good reflection of 2020. I'm not sure what she exactly meant by that...

Anyway, with apologies to Joni Mitchell, here's my version of "River".
